Many people teaching the Word of God, do not know or understand how to correctly interpret or apply it. As people of God and of His Word, we want to both know and understand the Bible, so we may discern solid biblical teaching. This video will offer keys to reliable Bible interpretation.
I encourage you to sit under good Bible teachers…teachers who have studied the original biblical languages and the historical context of the Bible. Interpreting the Bible is not looking for what it means to me. The Bible is the holy, inspired Word of God. As Bible students, we should be answering: What did God mean by this and how do I change because of what God says through this. Bible study takes humility as we recognize that the Bible was written for all people and all times, but we must know some things about the time and place of the writing to fully understand and apply it.
