I’m excited to encourage you with the love of God and the truth of His Word. Life is hard and we all struggle. We need to be reminded of how much we’re loved and valued. God’s Word offers the encouragement we need. His Word guides us through the challenges of life.
My first love is the Lord Jesus Christ. I strive to listen and obey Him in all things and I desire for others to know of His rich love and compassion. My second love is my precious family. I have been married for twenty-eight years to my wonderful, fun-loving husband, Frank. We love spending time at the beach, eating with friends and family, and making one another laugh. We have three beautiful and busy children, ages 13-21 years old and our bonus son-in-love. Parenting is hard and often messy, yet it gives us great joy to watch our children learn and grow into the people God is calling them to be. Like you, our family has its fair share of struggles, but God is faithful.
I loved serving the as the women’s ministry leader at our Indiana church for nine years. We have now moved to the Sunshine State, and attend Highland Park Baptist Church. For four years, I worked at a local Christian school teaching Bible to middle school students. Those students brought me great joy (well most of them anyway;). Prior to that, I worked as a nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit (for eight years). I loved taking care of the babies! I recently went back for my master’s in science in nursing/nurse practitioner degree. As God would have it, I’m working at a college, as a success mentor (teaching future nurses). Who knew that I would be teaching students who are the same age as the middle schoolers that I taught a few years ago?!? Talk about coming full circle.
I have been blessed to serve on few short term mission trips and I have a passion for the lost and hurting. One of my life verses is Matthew 25:40, which says And the King will answer them, ‘I assure you: Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for me’ (HCSB).
Education: Master of Science in Nursing; Master of Theological Studies/Biblical Studies; Bachelor of Arts in Psychology; Bachelor of Science in Nursing
I share all of this to share my background and passions. I’m married, with kids, a job, and dogs…I get busy, love to craft and I’m no where near perfect. I’m figuring things out…but I love Jesus and I want you to know that He loves you.
